After her mother's passing, Sylvia inherited the \"Feather Woman\" title and signed her pieces with a feather hallmark plus an \"S\" to distinguish them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer pottery, including seed jars, features traditional hand-coiled construction, stone polishing, and painting with natural pigments (often black bee-weed and red\/orange clay slips on a white-slipped base).
