She is known for hand-coiled red-clay vessels—especially wide-shouldered jars, seed pots, and small vases—with unusual flared or square rims. Her signature style uses cuadrillos, a dense black-and-red checkerboard\/geometric patterning that typically covers most of the body while leaving the neck\/rim and base in the natural clay color. Many pieces incorporate sgraffito or painted ants and other small geometric or insect motifs.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Antique American Indian Art","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51091653099685,"sku":"210523-075","price":65.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0718\/6071\/5685\/files\/210523-75_3.jpg?v=1793728088","url":"https:\/\/antiqueamericanindianart.com\/products\/mata-ortiz-casas-grandes-pottery-by-yoly-ledezma","provider":"Antique American Indian Art","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
