Born in 1970, he comes from a distinguished family of potters. He began learning pottery at a young age (around 10) from his mother, Martha Appleleaf. He belongs to an illustrious lineage: his great-aunt was the renowned potter Maria Martinez, a key figure in the revival and popularization of San Ildefonso black-on-black pottery. He signs his work with his Tewa name, Than Tsideh (meaning “Sunbird”).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Antique American Indian Art","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47838237917349,"sku":"22-0997","price":890.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0718\/6071\/5685\/files\/22-0997_16.jpg?v=1779136814","url":"https:\/\/antiqueamericanindianart.com\/products\/san-ildefonso-pueblo-pottery-by-than-tsideh","provider":"Antique American Indian Art","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
