She was known for excellent stone polishing and deep-carved designs, most often variations of the traditional Tewa avanyu (water serpent). Common forms included jars, bowls, plates, and engagement baskets. She earned numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market, the New Mexico State Fair, and a Governor’s Award. Her last Indian Market participation was around 1994. She was married to Jose G. Naranjo and was the mother of Frances Siow (and others) and grandmother of Madeline E. Naranjo. Her work is held in collections such as the Heard Museum and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. Signatures are typically along the lines of “Madeline Naranjo”.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Antique American Indian Art","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50720583712933,"sku":"261008-03","price":470.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0718\/6071\/5685\/files\/261008-03_2.jpg?v=1792612132","url":"https:\/\/antiqueamericanindianart.com\/products\/santa-clara-pueblo-pottery-by-madeline-naranjo","provider":"Antique American Indian Art","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
