Submit your item details and photos below for a professional appraisal by Matt Wood, a recognized specialist in Native American art and artifacts. Each appraisal covers authenticity, tribal attribution, age, and current market value. After submitting, you'll be guided to complete your $20 payment — your appraisal will be returned by email within 48 hours.
- $20 per appraisal — covers a single item or a group of up to 3 items photographed together.
- The fee applies regardless of outcome — whether the item is an authentic artifact, a reproduction, of non-Native origin, or a natural stone formation that resembles an artifact but is, in fact, a natural object, unaltered by human hands (referred to as a Pseudomorph). To be clear, you are paying for my opinion, regardless of outcome, as it may differ from your or others opinions.
- Unpaid $20 submissions will not be answered, they will be discarded. Please Use the "Sell Your Art" Form under Services if you are looking for offers.
- Every appraisal includes an assessment of authenticity, tribal affiliation, approximate age, and current fair-market value.
- Your appraisal is delivered by email within 24–48 hours of payment.
- Appraisal fees are refunded in full if you later sell or consign the item through AAIA.
- Cash purchase and consignment offers are available on request.
