Navajo Rug Cleaning & Repair Services

Professional Care for Your Navajo Weavings — Since 1985

Your Navajo rug is more than a textile — it's a piece of living history. Whether it's a 19th-century Chief blanket or a mid-century regional weaving, proper cleaning and restoration can protect both its cultural significance and its market value.

Matt Wood's AAIA, LLC has provided professional cleaning and repair services for Navajo rugs and blankets for nearly four decades. We work with private collectors, dealers, museums, and estates nationwide, delivering results that preserve the integrity of every weaving.

Our Repair Services

We provide professional, thorough repair using period-matched yarns and dyes so that restored areas blend seamlessly with the original weaving.

  • Selvage cord and tassel replacement — matching original techniques
  • Moth damage repair — on one or both sides of the weaving
  • Sectional reconstruction — for rugs missing entire sections of weaving
