Vidal Aguilar is a contemporary potter from Kewa (formerly Santo Domingo) Pueblo in New Mexico, born in 1972. He belongs to the renowned Aguilar family of potters, with roots tracing back to the late 1800s (including the famous Aguilar sisters, Felipita Aguilar Garcia and Asuncion Aguilar Caté).

He is particularly known for creating some of the largest hand-coiled polychrome ollas (jars) at Santo Domingo Pueblo, continuing a family tradition of impressive large-scale storage jars. His work is hand-coiled (not wheel-thrown), polished, and traditionally fired in a pit. He uses natural clay slips for red and white, and a mineral pigment for black (an older technique, rather than the more common plant-based guaco).
