This is a beautiful framed display with thoughtfully arranged collection of projectile points (called arrowheads), prehistoric Native American artifacts, mounted on a sandy tan backing inside an oak frame of 10 Arrowhead Points and 17 Old Trade Beads found from Northern California
In Very Good Condition
Northern California (roughly from the Bay Area up through the Redwood Coast, Klamath region, and into the northern Sierras/Cascade foothills) has a rich archaeological record of Native American artifacts, tied to groups like the Pomo, Yurok, Hupa, Wintu, Maidu, Wiyot, Tolowa, and others.
The small blue beads (likely turquoise) scattered around them are a nice decorative touch—turquoise holds deep significance in many Native American cultures, especially Southwestern tribes like the Navajo, Hopi, or Pueblo peoples. It often symbolizes protection, healing, the sky/water, strength, and positive energy. Blue beads in general can represent the sky, water, clouds, or even emotions like wisdom or sadness in beadwork traditions. The red beads or small red items (possibly trade beads or stone accents), which in Native symbolism frequently stand for strength, vitality, thunder, or the earth/sunset.
