John C. Poleahla Sr. (born December 13, 1939, into the Fire/Coyote Clan) is a Hopi artist from the Hopi Pueblo in Arizona. He is recognized as an accomplished kachina carver, often working in cottonwood root, with a reputation for fine detail. He has also served as a retired lawyer and clan chief of Walpi, and he has visited schools to share Hopi culture, sometimes bringing family-made kachina dolls.
