Hopi coiled baskets featuring Shalako (or Shalako Mana/Cloud) Kachina motifs are traditional Southwestern Native American artworks, primarily made on Second Mesa of the Hopi Reservation in Arizona.
Shalako Kachina (or Shalako Mana, the female counterpart) motifs depict the tall, bird-like Shalako figure or the associated Cloud/Rain Kachina. Shalako is a major ceremonial figure in Hopi and Zuni traditions, linked to rain, fertility, clouds, and winter solstice ceremonies. The design often shows the distinctive mask, tableta (headdress), or stylized cloud/rain elements in black, red, white, and natural tones.

These are typically pictorial coiled plaques (flat or slightly dished) rather than deep functional baskets, made to hang on walls or display. They range from small (8–12 inches) to large (19+ inches). Designs are woven directly into the coils using dyed yucca, creating detailed, symbolic imagery.
