Denny Dixon is a recognized Haida argillite carver from Skidegate, part of a major carving family lineage. He is the grandson of noted carver John Cross (1867–1939) and the younger brother of Pat Dixon (1938–2015). His work is known for:

  • Use of argillite exclusively

  • Signed and dated pieces, often with month/year or edition numbers

He carved everything from plates and dishes to plaques, pendants, boxes, and small totem poles.
