Augustine Mowa Jr is from Shungopavi, Second Mesa, AZ. Augustine is a quiet man and an excellent carver and also does wonderful Hopi jewelry. He is the husband of Frieda Mowa, a basketmaker, and father of Augustine Mowa III, a carver. He taught his son Augie Mowa III how to carve. His favorite figures are the Badger, Eagle and Buffalo Maiden.
