Collectors note: "The moccasins were given to me by my grandfather, D.C. Pedon, in the mid 1960's who was cleaning his house in Goodnight, TX. No information about where he got them was provided.

Southern Plains beaded moccasins are a distinctive form of traditional Native American footwear associated with tribes from the Southern Plains region, such as the Comanche, Kiowa, Southern Cheyenne, Arapaho and sometimes related groups. These moccasins reflect the cultural artistry, practicality, and heritage of Plains Indian peoples during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
