Both the Hopi (from northeastern Arizona) and the Tohono O'odham (formerly called Papago, from southern Arizona and northern Sonora, Mexico) have rich, distinctive basket-weaving traditions. Although they are neighboring peoples, their techniques, materials, forms, and designs are quite different.
