Hohomana is a female companion or maiden associated with the Hemis Katsina (a major rain-bringing kachina). She accompanies the Hemis Katsina during the Niman or Home-Going Dance (Home Dance), a significant summer ceremony marking the kachinas' return to their spiritual homes after bringing rains and blessings.

This maiden accompanies the Hemis Kachina at the Home Dance (Niman). In the Home Dance no other Kachinas appear, neither clowns nor side dancers, Mana is the only Kachina that accompanies the Hemis at this most sacred dance.

Due to the fragile nature of kachina dolls, we do not guarantee they will not break during shipping. We do our best to pack them well, but due to their fragile nature and even with the best packing, small pieces can break. If you are purchasing kachina dolls, please keep this in mind.
