Spruce Owl (also known as Mongwu or Spruce Owl Warrior Katsina), a significant figure in Hopi and related traditions, often crafted by Navajo or Hopi artisans for ceremonial and artistic purposes.

The Spruce Owl is one of the warrior katsinam and serves as their leader. It is associated with important roles like preparing food, performing guard duty, bearing gifts, and acting in protective/warrior capacities during ceremonies.
