The Mudhead (known as Koyemsi in Hopi/Zuni traditions) is one of the most recognizable and versatile kachinas—often appearing as a sacred clown, healer, teacher, or messenger in ceremonies. It features a distinctive rounded head covered in mud-like bumps (typically six protrusions), small eyes, a beak-like nose, and earthy red/brown coloring with symbolic markings.
Due to the fragile nature of kachina dolls, we do not guarantee they will not break during shipping. We do our best to pack them well, but due to their fragile nature and even with the best packing, small pieces can break. If you are purchasing kachina dolls, please keep this in mind.
