Navajo Kachina Bear by Tsosie is a handcrafted Native American kachina doll depicting the Bear (also known as Hon or Honan) spirit, created by a Navajo artist named Tsosie. These dolls are popular collectibles in Southwestern Native American art, blending traditional Hopi-inspired kachina motifs with Navajo craftsmanship. While kachinas originate from Hopi and other Pueblo cultures, Navajo artists have adapted and popularized them since the mid-20th century, often carving them from cottonwood root and adorning them with feathers, leather, fur, and paint.
Due to the fragile nature of kachina dolls, we do not guarantee they will not break during shipping. We do our best to pack them well, but due to their fragile nature and even with the best packing, small pieces can break. If you are purchasing kachina dolls, please keep this in mind.
