The Morning Singer Kachina (also known as Talavai or Early Morning Singer) is a traditional figure in Hopi culture, representing dawn or early morning. This Katsina (spirit being) appears at dawn during ceremonies like the Bean Dance (Powamuya), singing songs, ringing bells, and announcing the day's news to wake the village people. It symbolizes renewal, awakening, and the start of the day, often depicted carrying a bell, spruce branches (fir trees), or other items to rouse the community.
