Santo Domingo Pueblo (also known as Kewa Pueblo) in New Mexico is renowned for its traditional hand-coiled polychrome pottery. Potters use local elastic clay, natural slips (often cream or buff with red accents), and vegetal or mineral paints in black, red, and sometimes other earth tones.
