Santa Clara Pueblo blackware wedding vases are iconic examples of Native American pottery from Kha'po Owingeh (Santa Clara Pueblo) in northern New Mexico. These pieces are hand-coiled from local clay, polished to a high sheen, and traditionally fired in a reduction atmosphere that produces the distinctive deep black color.
