Tesuque Pueblo (often spelled "Tesuque," and sometimes misspelled as "Tesque") is one of the Northern Tewa Pueblos in New Mexico, located near Santa Fe. Early historic pottery jars from Tesuque (roughly pre-1880s to early 1900s) represent a rich tradition of hand-coiled, pit-fired ceramic vessels made primarily by women for utilitarian and ceremonial purposes before heavy commercialization.
