Around 1900, the arrival of the railroad and growing tourist market influenced production. Potters adapted traditional utilitarian water jars for sale while retaining high technical standards. Designs became bolder and more complex compared to mid-19th-century pieces. Many jars from this era were sold near train stations (including at Laguna) to travelers.
