San Ildefonso (often spelled Ildefonso) Pueblo pottery from New Mexico is renowned for its high-quality handmade pieces, especially the innovative black-on-black style popularized in the early 20th century by Maria Martinez and her husband Julian.
Triangular or angular bowls are an uncommon form compared to the more typical round or incurved bowls and jars. They appear in vintage pieces (roughly 1920s–1960s or so), often with geometric designs.
