Hand Carved from Cottonwood Root of a Female Pig Holding Corn on the Cob in each Hand by Earl Arthur

In Very Good Condition

Earl Arthur was a Hopi artist active primarily in the late 20th century (with works from the 1980s–2010s appearing in sales and collections). He is known for detailed, signed pieces depicting various katsinas, including Owl (Mongwa), Yellow Ahote, Kokopel'mana (female racer), Sun Priest, Chili Pepper (Tsil), Crowmother, and others. His carvings often feature vibrant natural pigments, feathers, and precise detailing, and they frequently appear in vintage Native American art markets, auctions, and online listings.

The Pig rarely appears. It is much like the cow or chicken or any other animal that represents food for the people.

Due to the fragile nature of kachina dolls, we do not guarantee they will not break during shipping. We do our best to pack them well, but due to their fragile nature and even with the best packing, small pieces can break. If you are purchasing kachina dolls, please keep this in mind.
