A. Clark is a lesser-documented carver, producing authentic, collectible pieces in traditional styles.

The Shalako figure is one of the most dramatic and revered messengers in Pueblo ceremonies—particularly the Zuni Shalako ritual (held in late fall/winter), which blesses new homes, renews the world, and welcomes the new year with prayers for rain, fertility, and prosperity. Hopi versions often adapt this as Sio Shalako (Zuni-influenced Shalako), depicted as tall, imposing beings with elaborate headdresses, layered attire, and symbolic elements.

Due to the fragile nature of kachina dolls, we do not guarantee they will not break during shipping. We do our best to pack them well, but due to their fragile nature and even with the best packing, small pieces can break. If you are purchasing kachina dolls, please keep this in mind.
