Linda Cain (born 1949, Tewa name “Yellow Corn”) is a highly regarded award-winning potter from Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico. She belongs to a distinguished multi-generational family of Tewa potters and has been creating pottery since 1970. She comes from one of the most prominent pottery lineages at Santa Clara Pueblo. Her Mother is Mary Cain (a noted potter) and her Grandmother is Christina Naranjo. Her Great-grandmother is Sara Fina Tafoya (a foundational figure in Santa Clara pottery) and Sisters are Tina Diaz, Joy Cain, and Margie Tannin (also potters). Her Daughters are Autumn Borts-Medlock and Tammy Garcia (both nationally recognized contemporary potters).
