Ruby Panana (Rufina Medina) Zia Pueblo, Coyote Clan, active ca.1983-present: polychrome jars, bowls, wedding vases, vases, canteens. Ruby Panana is the granddaughter of Joe and Ascenicona Galvan Pino; daughter of Seferina Bell; sister of Eleanor Griego and Reyes Pino; wife of Larry W. Panana; mother of Sharayne L. Panana. Ruby learned pottery making from her mother Seferina Bell. Ruby Panana is a top award-winning Zia Pueblo potter who lives at Jemez Pueblo. Ruby is known for creating some of the largest classic polychrome ollas, in the tradition of Trinidad Medina and Sophia Medina.
