Alexander Youvella Sr. is from First Mesa AZ. He is the great-great grandson of Lela Augah and Preston Talavensi. He is the son of Tino Youvella (carver). Alexander has been awarded for his carvings since 1992 and in 2005 won the Award of Excellence in Kachina Doll Carving presented at the Southwest Indian Art Fair in Tucson.
