Sharon Francis is a contemporary Hopi carver from the Third Mesa village of Hotevilla, Arizona.  She's part of a lineage of Katsina makers and is celebrated for her precise, spiritually infused work.  Her dolls often appear in auctions and collections, such as a "Long Hairs" Kachina by her that sold alongside other signed pieces.  While specific sales records for this exact "Shalako with Sunface" are limited, similar Hopi Sunface Shalako dolls by artists like Joe Gash or Jerome Totsoni have fetched $200–$800 at auction, depending on size and condition.
