Awatovi Soyok Wuhti, the Monster Woman Kachina. This version is believed to be an apparition from that destroyed town.This terrifying spirit appears during the Powamu ceremony, as one of the many Ogres who threaten the children with being eaten, for their misbehavior.

The Awatovi Ruins, spelled Awat'ovi in recent literature, are an archaeological site on the Hopi Indian Reservation in northeastern Arizona, United States. The site contains the ruins of a pueblo estimated to be 500 years old, as well as those of a 17th-century Spanish mission.
