Alexander R. Youvella Sr. (born 1961) is a master Hopi carver from Polacca on First Mesa, Arizona, belonging to the Kachina/Parrot Clan. He learned the craft from his father, Tino Youvella (a pioneering carver who began in 1962), and has been creating award-winning Kachina dolls since the early 1990s. His style emphasizes dynamic movement, fine detailing, and traditional materials like cottonwood root, natural pigments, leather, and feathers.
