Traditional Siletz baskets from the Oregon coast often feature a distinctive double-braided handle and an oval or bowl-shaped body. These baskets are crafted by members of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians using materials native to the region, such as spruce roots, hazel sticks, and various grasses.
