A finely coiled basket with Sedge field, redbud and brackenfern root.The Yokuts people, native to the San Joaquin Valley and foothills of the Sierra Nevada, are renowned for their exquisite basketry. This is a large Acorn Mush Bowl and would have been used in both the storage of Acorns, and the cooking of Acorn mush.
