Hand Crafted in Hide Leather and Glass Seed Beads with Floral Motif and Hide with Fur Trim and Wool Interior Gloves

In Very Good Condition

Ojibwa (or Ojibwe) large mittens are traditional winter mittens handmade by the Ojibwe (also known as Ojibwa or Anishinaabe) people, an Indigenous group from the Great Lakes region of North America (including parts of Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ontario, and Manitoba). These are often oversized or "large" in design, featuring extended gauntlet cuffs for extra wrist protection against cold and snow.
They are crafted from materials like moose hide, deer hide, or other leather, lined with wool or fur for warmth, and decorated with intricate floral beadwork—a signature style of Woodland Indigenous art using colorful glass beads in patterns like roses, tulips, or other flowers. Many include fur trim (often rabbit or other natural fur) around the cuffs, and some have fringe details.
