Helen Shupla (1928–1985) was a master potter from Santa Clara Pueblo (Kha'p'oo Owinge), New Mexico, renowned for her innovative and highly polished blackware melon jars. She is one of the few Native American potters whose name became synonymous with a specific style—the melon form.
