Wilson Hoskie is a Navajo artist renowned for his detailed and vibrant kachina dolls Wilson Hoskie has earned acclaim for his craftsmanship, notably winning Best of Show at the 1995 Navajo Nation Fair, a prestigious event showcasing Navajo art.  His work is celebrated for its dynamic poses, vivid colors, and detailed regalia, making his kachinas popular among collectors.

The Cow Dancer Kachina, known as Wakas Katsina in Hopi culture, is a relatively recent addition to the Hopi kachina pantheon, emerging around the early 1900s.  It represents a spirit that dances to increase cattle populations, with its name derived from the Spanish word for cows, vacas.  This kachina is distinct from the Lenang (Flute) Kachina you previously inquired about, as it focuses on livestock prosperity rather than water or fertility.

Due to the fragile nature of kachina dolls, we do not guarantee they will not break during shipping.  We do our best to pack them well, but due to their fragile nature and even with the best packing, small pieces can break. If you are purchasing kachina dolls, please keep this in mind.
