Ron Duwyenie (born May 5, 1965, in Keams Canyon, Arizona; deceased).  A common Hopi surname associated with renowned carvers from the Greasewood Clan.  Ron was a master kachina carver known for his intricate, traditional-style dolls carved from a single piece of cottonwood root, featuring detailed feathers, joints, and vibrant paints.  He began carving in 1980, primarily trained by his father, Joseph Duwyenie, and developed a distinctive style that set his work apart while honoring family traditions.
