Debra Quam is a Zuni fetish carver from Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico, known for her traditional and detailed animal carvings. She is part of the esteemed Quam family, which includes prominent carvers like her parents, Dan Quam (deceased) and Annie Gasper Quam (died 2001), as well as her siblings, including Lynn Quam and Abby Quam Panteah. Debra learned carving techniques from her family, particularly her mother, a renowned jeweler and fetish carver, and her aunt, Ellen Quandelacy, a matriarch of the Quandelacy carving family.
