Gregorio Bracamonte was a master artisan born on September 3, 1949, in San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua, a pueblo known for its indigenous pottery tradition. He played a pivotal role in reviving pre-Columbian ceramic techniques, earning recognition as a national hero and a "Tesoro Humano de la Cultura Nicaragüense" (Human Treasure of Nicaraguan Culture). His work focused on archaeological replicas and ceremonial clay sculptures inspired by the ancient Nicoyan heritage, particularly the Gran Nicoya region.  His ceramics used natural dyes from tree sap and earthen minerals, with black pigment cured for than 30 days
