Virginia Chinana (b. 1938) began making pottery in 1962 after learning from her mother, Lupe Yepa. She is known for traditional polychrome jars, bowls, and especially miniatures. She signs her work "V.C. Jemez" or similar.

Jemez Pueblo polychrome pottery is colorful, multi-hued ceramic vessels made by artists from Jemez Pueblo in northern New Mexico. Traditional Jemez pottery largely died out in the 18th century, with potters later reviving the craft in the 20th century—often drawing inspiration from neighboring Zia Pueblo styles while developing their own distinctive look.
