Large Pit River Burden Basket

Looks to have a little repair to the bottom as on the interior, there are a couple thin pieces of clear paper tape that seem to be restoration work.

The Pit River Tribe, based in northeastern California along the Pit River, comprises eleven autonomous bands, primarily the Achumawi (or Achomawi) and Atsugewi. Their name comes from a hunting technique involving pit traps for deer, reflecting their deep connection to the land.
