Aggie Henderson-Poncho (also known as Christine “Aggie” Henderson-Poncho), an Acoma Pueblo artist born in 1973. She is known for creating polychrome storyteller figures and other small clay sculptures using traditional Pueblo techniques, natural clays, and mineral paints. She began making these around 1985 and signs her work “Aggie, Acoma NM” followed by the year.

Aggie learned from family and has won awards at events like the Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial in Gallup and the New Mexico State Fair. Her pieces often feature fine detailing, natural pigments, and themes drawn from Acoma traditions, though she also experiments with varied sculptures.
