Acoma Pueblo, often called "Sky City" or "Haak'u" in the traditional Keresan language, is a historic Native American community perched atop a 367-foot mesa in west-central New Mexico. Inhabited continuously since around 1150 AD, it is one of the oldest communities in North America and is renowned for its exquisite pottery tradition. Acoma pottery, including dishes, embodies cultural continuity, with artisans using time-honored techniques to create functional and ceremonial pieces that blend utility with intricate artistry.
