Monroe Victorino (b. 1948) is a contemporary Acoma Pueblo (New Mexico) potter known for traditional hand-coiled jars, pots, and seed pots featuring fine-line geometric designs, typically black-on-white (sometimes with red accents).  He is described by dealers as a master potter who uses traditional methods: hand-coiling with local clay, natural mineral paints/slips, and outdoor firing. In Acoma pottery tradition, the fine straight lines in the designs are often interpreted as prayers for rain.
