Corrine Garcia from Acoma Pueblo (New Mexico) has been creating pottery for decades. She learned from her mother and grandmother starting at age 7 and follows traditional methods by Hand-coiling the clay and Making her own clay and natural paints and Incorporating ground-up shards from old pots into new pieces for strength and cultural continuity.

Her favorite forms include corrugated storyteller bowls, where she pinches the clay to create symmetrical, textured designs (often a raised, bumpy "corrugated" surface resembling ancient Pueblo styles). These bowls typically feature small sculpted figures of adults and children around the rim or sides, representing a storyteller sharing tales with listeners—a motif inspired by Pueblo oral traditions.
