Judy Lewis (sometimes signed as Judy M. Lewis), a well-known potter from Acoma Pueblo (Sky City) in New Mexico. Born in 1966, she has been creating traditional hand-coiled polychrome pottery since 1986. Her work often features intricate designs using natural clay slips and mineral paints in the classic Acoma style. She is especially recognized for her storyteller figurines, which depict a central adult figure with an open mouth as if telling a story, surrounded by small children, animals, or other elements.
