Eva Histia (1914–2005), also signed as E.H. or EH, created Acoma Pueblo wedding jars (also called wedding vases). Eva Histia was a respected Acoma Pueblo potter active from the 1920s through the 1990s. She is known for high-quality, traditional hand-coiled pottery using local clay, often featuring polychrome (multi-color) designs with geometric patterns, fine lines, and motifs like stylized birds, rain, clouds, or parrots. Her work is collected and appears in museums (e.g., a wedding vase in the National Museum of the American Indian) and at auction.
