An Anasazi deep groove axe is a prehistoric stone tool associated with the Anasazi people, now more commonly referred to as the Ancestral Puebloans. These ancient Native American groups inhabited the Four Corners region (parts of modern-day Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah) primarily during the Pueblo periods, roughly 700–1300 CE, though full-groove designs have roots in earlier Archaic traditions.
