Anasazi is the Ancestral Puebloans, an ancient Indigenous culture that thrived in the Four Corners region of the southwestern United States (encompassing parts of modern-day Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico) from approximately 100 BCE to 1600 CE. They are renowned for their sophisticated architecture, agriculture, and especially their pottery, which served both practical and ceremonial purposes. Anasazi jar pottery, in particular, exemplifies their mastery of clay work, blending functionality with artistic expression. These jars were primarily used for cooking, storage, and water transport, reflecting adaptations to the arid environment.
